Relias Healthcare, a leading provider of Emergency Medicine and Hospital Medicine solutions, is proud to announce the appointment of Evan Talton as the new Deputy Director of Operations and Central Mississippi Administrative Director. Relias holds special significance for Evan, originating in his hometown of Tupelo, MS, and he’s excited to bring his extensive experience and leadership to the team.

Evan joins Relias from Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where he served as the administrator for the Critical Care and Hospitalist Medicine physician practice groups across two campuses. During his tenure, they recruited and onboarded more than 50 new providers and redesigned clinical coverage models to ensure 24/7 in-house critical care and hospitalist coverage.

“We are excited for Evan to take this leadership role in Central Mississippi and more broadly to help the company’s practice operations. In just a short time, he has made a huge impact in operations. The future is bright!” according to President and Chief Operating Officer Blake Jeter.

Evan holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Alabama as well as Master of Business Administration and Masters of Science in Healthcare Administration degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His background as a critical care nurse, hospital operator, and physician practice operator provides him with a unique perspective in healthcare administration.

“These experiences have allowed me to serve others in a leadership capacity,” he said. “I am excited to work alongside other high performers at Relias who are dedicated to improving healthcare for the communities we serve.”

Evan is also excited to get involved in the Central Mississippi community. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and staying active outdoors. “My wife, son, and I love to travel, but if we only have a day, you can find us doing almost anything active outdoors, like hiking, pickleball, or any sort of fitness activity,” he mentioned. Evan looks forward to joining an organization with a personal mission that aligns so closely with his own.
