Relias Healthcare Names Jay Howell, MBA Chief Revenue Officer
The Board of Advisors and Executive Team of Relias Healthcare announced today it has named Jay Howell, MBA as Chief Revenue Officer. Howell will transition into his new role immediately and oversee the organization’s various revenue streams, aligning all revenue-generating departments, and building strategic partnerships with our payors. Additionally, Howell will manage coding and billing operations and compliance for Relias’ clinical practices.
“The landscape of revenue management in healthcare is evolving aggressively and fast,” said Luke West, MSHA, Chief Executive Officer, Relias Healthcare. “It’s simply becoming harder for our clinicians to receive compensation for the care they are providing, and the payor playbook is changing at a rapid pace. Having Jay’s expertise and leadership in the healthcare revenue cycle will allow Relias’ clinical and operations teams to continue to focus on what’s important and not compromise our mission to serve people – our clinical providers, our hospital partners, and our patients.”
About Jay Howell:
Most recently serving as Director of Revenue Cycle Operations at Vital Care Infusion Services for seven years, Howell now joins senior leadership at Relias Healthcare as Chief Revenue Officer. Howell attended Mississippi State University where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in healthcare administration. He also achieved his Master of Business Administration from Mississippi State University. Howell has spent his career in healthcare, also previously working for Rush Health Systems for six years.
“I am honored to join the Relias Healthcare team as the culture throughout the organization clearly reinforces a commitment to supporting our clinicians while also providing a tremendous value to each of our health system partners,” said Howell. “The creation of this new role demonstrates a forward-thinking approach to ensure the growth ahead continues to deliver the level of high-quality service our providers and partners experience today.”
Howell has previously served on the Board of Directors for both the United Way of East Mississippi as well as the Meridian Museum of Art. He currently is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, American College of Healthcare Executives, and National Home Infusion Association.
