The Board of Advisors and Executive Team of Relias Healthcare announced today it has named David A. Hooker, MD as Associate Chief Medical Officer, Emergency Medicine. Dr. Hooker will transition into his new role immediately and oversee all emergency medicine functions in the South and Central Mississippi Markets.

I am certain he will help us enhance the work environments for our clinicians and ensure we provide the highest quality care to our patients.”

About Hooker: 

Most recently serving as System Medical Director for Emergency Medicine within the Baptist Memorial Hospital System for TeamHealth, Hooker now joins Relias Healthcare as Associate Chief Medical Officer over emergency medicine. Hooker attended medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS, followed by a transitional emergency medicine internship and then an emergency medicine residency, both in Jackson at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Hooker also serves as the Paramedic Program Medical Director at Itawamba Community College in Tupelo, MS.
